The demands on agriculture are changing rapidly. In order to tackle problems and seize opportunities, a strong, modern, member-oriented association is needed - in short, an effective and sustainable transformation. We shape transformation processes together with you. Co-creatively!
The client
The Bavarian Farmers' Association was founded on September 7, 1945 and today has around 140,000 members. The entire family on a farm is a member. This means that the association represents over 750,000 people in rural areas and almost 100,000 family farms and forestry businesses. The association makes the concerns of agriculture and forestry heard and stands up for all farming families, landowners and rural areas as a whole.
Background
Social trends and economic and social challenges are changing the needs and wishes of members with regard to the association as their professional representative. In order to shape the future of the BBV in a proactive, strong and member-oriented manner, a new strategic direction is required.
With the aim of defining a vision that will sustain the Bavarian Farmers' Association even under volatile conditions and make it fit for the future, changewise started supporting the "Rollevorwärts" project in fall 2020. Together with a five-member core team and eight topic-specific working groups of association employees, the 24-month project will put the BBV's self-image to the test, conduct the first member survey since the association was founded, develop the brand, a vision and the mission statement, anchor diversity in the statutes, jointly develop the roles and tasks of the honorary office and launch a uniform orientation in terms of regionality and animal husbandry.
The development is taking place with the intensive involvement of a large number of full-time and voluntary representatives of the BBV: interactive large group workshops, creative idea-finding processes and integrative decision-making lead to the initiation of a sustainable change in strategy and a cultural development process within the association.
